The spectators fascinatingly follow the movement of the ball. Their heads move in time from one side to the other as the crank is turned. The rotation of the handle is transmitted to a horizontal camshaft. Two staggered cams transfer the movement to friction wheels, whose vertical standing shafts move to the right and to the left, the heads of the spectators move correspondingly. The angle of the cyclic movement is limited by stop plates.
